A Sentry trace waterfall exposed a bug: during a certain historical question search, one NECTA server took 3.6 minutes to send out a PDF. The code had a 12-second timeout, but httpx times by data chunk, so a slow-drip server can never trigger it. The fix is to set a hard deadline for the entire download, reducing the worst case from about 4 minutes to about 30 seconds.
