Commit #19065 in v0.40.6-rc1 adjusts the transport layer's proxy behavior: when it detects that a request goes through a proxy, the client no longer performs local DNS resolution on and pins the IP of the redirect target, but instead leaves DNS to the proxy.

UnverifiedDNS Rebinding is an attack technique that exploits the DNS resolution time gap to bypass the same-origin policy by setting the DNS TTL to an extremely short value so that the domain resolves to 127.0.0.1 after the page has loaded.67% similarVerifiedDNS hijacking refers to attackers tampering with DNS resolution results to redirect users' access to legitimate websites toward malicious servers65% similarUnverifiedSOCKS5 代理仅转发 TCP 流量但 DNS 查询仍走本地解析会产生 DNS 泄漏64% similarUnverifiedMalware typically does not hard-code IP addresses, but instead locates C2 servers through domain name resolution to enable rapid switching after an IP is blocked; the related techniques are known as Fast Flux or Domain Generation Algorithms (DGA).61% similarUnverifiedAmplification attacks exploit the property that response data volumes in protocols such as DNS, NTP, and Memcached are far larger than request data volumes; by spoofing the victim's IP to send small requests to servers, the victim receives response traffic far exceeding the original traffic volume.61% similar
