The Phase IIa trial of rentosertib for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis enrolled 71 patients, and the results were published in Nature Medicine in June 2025, meeting the primary safety endpoint, with the 60 mg once-daily group showing a mean increase in forced vital capacity of 98.4 mL over 12 weeks versus a decrease of 20.3 mL in the placebo group, and the drug has since advanced to Phase III.
