Replicate CEO Amjad Massad posted a clarification that the platform remains model-neutral, but that OpenAI has become the preferred partner driving Replicate Agent based on overall performance, cost and close collaboration, replacing Anthropic in the default configuration, while users can still manually switch to other models such as Claude.
