Video World Model
A predictive model centered on video generation that learns environment state-transition dynamics. Given the current observation and action, it predicts the next visual observation, serving as a differentiable, queryable learned simulator for embodied agents.
Timeline (last 90 days)
The research team proposes using a video world model as a low-cost proxy for the environment, in which EWA undergoes interactive reinforcement learning (RL) post-training, thereby bypassing expensive real-environment construction.
RL post-training inside the world model brings clear gains to EWA on out-of-distribution scenarios.
DeltaStreamer proposes a change-aware replay mechanism that stores only state deltas rather than full states, thereby greatly reducing memory usage and latency while preserving the temporal dynamics of video world models.
Traditional video world models use historical frames as context to predict the next frame and have a structural flaw when facing long-range interactions, because what the model generates is only a partial observation of the overall environment.
