Motor Imagery BCI
A classic paradigm in brain-computer interface research that detects changes in EEG signals generated by the motor cortex when a person imagines performing specific physical movements. The underlying neural phenomena—event-related desynchronization and synchronization (ERD/ERS)—are analyzed to classify different motor intentions. This paradigm is widely applied in rehabilitation medicine and hands-free device control.
