ASCII Smuggling

An attack technique that uses special Unicode characters—such as zero-width characters, control characters, and tag characters—to conceal malicious content. By creating a discrepancy between displayed and actual characters, the technique can simultaneously deceive automated security detection systems and human users. Applications include phishing emails and AI prompt injection attacks.
