Chain Replication

A replication protocol in distributed storage, proposed by van Renesse and Schneider, that organizes replication participants into an ordered chain. Write requests propagate sequentially from the head node to the tail node before being committed, while read requests are handled exclusively by the tail node, providing linearizability as a natural property.
