Wilson Score Interval
A statistical method for estimating binomial proportions, proposed by Edwin Bidwell Wilson in 1927. By incorporating sample size into the calculation to output a lower bound on the positive rating rate, it prevents a small number of high ratings from artificially outranking products with a large volume of near-perfect reviews.
