AI Job Application Pipeline
A job search filtering pipeline built using AI and automation technologies. Through multi-stage filtering—data collection, rule-based filtering, AI scoring, source verification, and human review—it significantly reduces ineffective job applications and enables precise targeting.
Timeline (last 90 days)
The AI job-hunting pipeline the author built evaluated more than 1,500 job listings this year, automatically filtered out 1,539, and ultimately submitted only a handful of applications.
Cheap hard rules should be applied to filter data before calling a model, because rules are free and auditable—a key engineering trade-off.
The pipeline restricts the model's role to evaluating only the content actually loaded by the scraper; the model is responsible for judging, not for finding positions.
The system rules stipulate that no position may enter the application list until the original job posting text has been loaded and read.
The author handles the last mile of job applications manually—personally opening the URL, reading the content, and writing each application according to the form's requirements—without using mass-sending or templated submissions.
