ArgoCD
A Kubernetes continuous delivery tool based on the GitOps paradigm. It continuously monitors divergence between a Git repository and the actual cluster state, and automatically synchronizes the cluster to achieve configuration reconciliation.
Timeline (last 90 days)
Observability and GitOps deployment requirements call for OpenTelemetry to implement distributed tracing across microservices, databases and AI endpoints, together with automated GitOps pipelines using ArgoCD, Docker and Kubernetes to manage continuous releases.
In enterprise-grade Kubernetes scenarios, ArgoCD and Flux are the mainstream GitOps tools.
The cluster network uses Cilium with kube-proxy replacement and L2 LoadBalancer enabled, storage uses OpenEBS LocalPV, and GitOps uses ArgoCD's app-of-apps pattern.
Configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible, as well as GitOps controllers such as Flux and ArgoCD, have built-in configuration reconciliation mechanisms that periodically detect and forcibly correct drift.
