Ask4NV
A multimodal model that jointly models 3D language understanding and novel view generation. Built on a unified multimodal model, it adopts a Mixture-of-Transformers architecture in which joint self-attention and modality-aware masking allow understanding features to flow back into the generation branch.
Timeline (last 90 days)
Ask4NV is a novel view generation method built on a pretrained unified multimodal model, adopting a Mixture-of-Transformers (MoT) architecture.
Ask4NV injects camera geometry information into both the VAE and ViT representations, so that geometric priors are explicitly considered at the encoding stage.
During generation, Ask4NV uses joint self-attention and a modality-aware attention masking strategy to let the generation branch reuse features from the understanding branch.
Ask4NV shows good image quality and geometric consistency in novel view generation.
Ask4NV is competitive on 3D language understanding tasks, showing that joint training did not sacrifice understanding ability.
Ask4NV's joint training improved cross-view correspondences in the VAE representation.
Ask4NV's joint training makes the model's feature space for 3D perception have higher similarity.
