BigdataSight
The author's blog or project for a data analysis tool/platform, providing a data analysis workflow with dual interfaces: MCP and CLI.
Timeline (last 90 days)
BigdataSight 1.2 supports saving validated SQL queries as CLI commands: enable access via "Settings → External Access", then copy the command via "Run → Copy as Command…".
BigdataSight provides a CLI tool named `bds`, which can be installed via "Command Line → Set Up bds…".
BigdataSight 1.2 Pro supports standalone tasks: an AI client can submit an operation as a task and retain the task ID, and after closing the MCP connection, it can later query progress and retrieve results via the CLI.
In the author's validation with eight records, querying directly in SQL, submitting via MCP and then closing the connection, both the CLI and a new MCP session retrieved the same three-row summary result.
Re-running a saved query recomputes against the current data source, whereas retrieving a completed task yields the result captured during that run; if the data source has changed, the two results may differ.
