Brett Kavanaugh is an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. He was nominated by President Donald Trump in 2018 and confirmed by the Senate after contentious hearings, succeeding Anthony Kennedy. Before joining the Court he served on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and worked in the administration of George W. Bush. He is generally identified with the Court's conservative wing.
