CDP Bazaar
An API product catalog indexing platform used to collect and display API endpoints and their pricing information, supporting full snapshot crawling and lastUpdated timestamp recording.
Timeline (last 90 days)
One API seller's listings on the CDP Bazaar index: in the October 3 snapshot, 153 records pointed to its endpoint, of which 20 were priced at $0.01 while actually reaching up to $50; in the October 19 snapshot, only 98 records remained, and all records with mislabeled prices had disappeared.
A comparison of two full catalog snapshots shows: total catalog rows grew from 24,419 on October 3 to 25,800 on October 19, while the seller's own records dropped from 153 to 98, with 57 disappearing, 2 newly added, and 96 retained.
All disappeared seller records have lastUpdated timestamps between September 3 and September 11 (37 to 45 days old at the time of observation), while all retained records have timestamps on or after September 19.
The October 19 catalog still lists 88 records from other hosts whose lastUpdated is earlier than September 19, the oldest from May 16 at 156 days, spread across 18 hosts, which rules out the existence of a global TTL.
The seller's early working assumption was a retention time of 1 to 1.5 days, under which paid re-settlement would be needed daily: about $17.44 over seven days, while catalog revenue over the same period was only $0.53; the actual retention time is more than an order of magnitude longer than the assumption.
In the October 19 catalog, all 98 of the seller's records accurately reflect its charges, the 20 records that once understated the price by up to 5000 times have disappeared, and the catalog achieved cleanup by deletion roughly five weeks after they stopped refreshing.
