CoT Faithfulness Paper

An arXiv paper studying the faithfulness of chain-of-thought (CoT) reasoning. It employs activation intervention methods to quantitatively assess the causal weight of the reasoning steps stated by large language models, measuring the degree to which those stated steps actually drive the models' conclusions.
