Dominant Resource Fairness (DRF)
A multi-resource fair scheduling algorithm proposed by UC Berkeley in 2011. It designates each user's most heavily consumed resource as their dominant resource and ensures all users receive equal proportional shares of their dominant resource. The algorithm has been adopted by systems including Hadoop YARN and Apache Mesos.
