M-DISC

An ultra-long-life optical storage medium that records data by physically etching pits into a rock-like inorganic material layer using a laser. The medium claims a lifespan on the order of one thousand years and has passed relevant testing conducted by the United States Department of Defense. It is classified as a physically etched, write-once storage medium.
