No-Information Baseline
The performance level of a model when it receives no rule information at all, typically close to random guessing or dependent on training-set bias. It is used to measure the model's inherent bias under zero-rule prompting.
Timeline (last 90 days)
The model receives active rules in two ways: symbolic descriptions or two solved examples; in addition, a model that receives no rule information is used as a baseline control.
When facing rule instances that never co-occurred during training, the performance of symbolic descriptions falls below the no-information baseline, while the example approach remains above the baseline.
The no-information baseline refers to the performance level when the model receives no rule information, usually close to random guessing or relying on training set bias.
