Octree

A tree-based data structure that recursively subdivides three-dimensional space, with each node dividing the current volume into eight equal subspaces and further subdividing only regions occupied by objects. Compared with uniform voxel grids, octrees can represent geometric information of equivalent precision with fewer nodes.
