OpenReel
An open-source video creative workbench built on the DeepSeek-Harness framework. It uses an AI Agent to orchestrate ComfyUI workflows and supports a complete video production pipeline covering ideation, script writing, storyboard planning, voiceover generation, and image generation.

Bilibili UP host Ayan (Ouyang) released an open-source video creative workbench called OpenReel, whose core concept is to hand ComfyUI workflow scheduling over to an AI Agent.
OpenReel is built on the DeepSeek-Harness (DSH) framework and is currently in beta.
The OpenReel system consists of two plugins: the ComfyUI plugin handles the underlying workflow management (infrastructure layer), while the OpenReel creative workbench handles upper-level creative content generation and adjustment.
OpenReel uses TTS Audio Suite as its audio plugin because it supports models including F5-TTS, Chatterbox, Tongyi Qianwen, Fish, Index, and RVC voice conversion.
OpenReel chose Tongyi Qianwen (CosyVoice) TTS because of its preset voice library and voice design features, which allow the Agent to automatically design broadcast voice tones according to the program's style.
The complete OpenReel pipeline covers project initiation, script writing, storyboard planning, dubbing generation, image generation, and video synthesis; in the demo, one topic was broken down into approximately 25 storyboard segments.
Due to concurrency limits, approximately 10 dubbing generation items are processed in batches, and the image workflow natively generates at 1920×1080, with each shot taking approximately two minutes.
The OpenReel illustrated commentary pipeline incorporates approximately 11–12 Skills, with the underlying design divided into a three-layer architecture of tool-calling Skills, audit Skills, and creative Skills.
The Agent writes errors into the current conversation's context memory via audit Skills, implementing a lightweight Reflection mechanism that improves task success rates without retraining the model.
Future plans for OpenReel include integrating MiniMax (Hailuo/H3) for video clip generation, multilingual support, and Web/Deep Research topic discovery capabilities.
