Ramsey Theory
A branch of combinatorics that studies the conditions under which regular substructures are guaranteed to appear within sufficiently large structures. A central idea is that any sufficiently large system, however disordered, must contain some organized substructure of a given type, a principle illustrated by results such as Ramsey's theorem.
