Recoverability
A core hypothesis proposed in the context of on-policy distillation. It refers to the teacher model's ability, starting from any erroneous student prefix, to find a reasonable path along that prefix toward the correct answer. If this property fails, the teacher cannot correct the student's errors and the supervision signal becomes corrupted.
