A series of key transparency schemes that introduces version numbers and an auditor role to reduce the burden of client-side consistency checks. It has been adopted by Signal, WhatsApp and iMessage.

Existing key transparency deployments (Signal, WhatsApp, iMessage) follow the Seamless family of approaches: the version number increments only when the public key changes, auditors verify each epoch whether the server follows the rules, and clients on return need only compare the first and last version numbers.
