A Bilibili creator transformed the QQ chatbot "Blue Big Fat Fish" into the emotional companion model Vespera (Whisper), consuming about 1.4 billion tokens during development and developing 35 plugins.

Vespera simulates the complete process of "seeing the message—thinking—typing—sending" before replying, follows up when the conversation is interrupted, and proactively sends messages to share daily life when the user is offline.

Vespera's voice uses the locally run ChatTTS model, requiring no additional token consumption; the singing voice is converted via an RVC model trained on a local GPU.

Vespera introduces an affection mechanism: user praise or care raises affection, while not replying for a long time lowers it.
