Gemini Skills are essentially a set of reusable, customized instructions stored in the open SKILL.md format, which users can invoke by typing @ plus the skill name in the Ask Gemini panel in Gmail, Docs, Slides, Drive, or Chat, and Workspace Studio flows can also use them.
Workspace Studio has already prohibited adding new "Ask a Gem" steps, and existing steps can still be used until the deadline.
Skill Builder is a guided tool in the Ask Gemini panel in Docs: enter that page of instructions to generate a skill draft for review, then click "Make this skill in Studio" to publish it to Workspace Studio.
