3D Interferometer
A fiber end-face inspection device based on phase-shift interferometry. It can measure submicron parameters such as radius of curvature, apex offset, and fiber height, and is used for factory-level quality inspection of MPO and other connectors.
Timeline (last 90 days)
The radius of curvature of an MPO end face measured by a 3D interferometer should be controlled at 10-25 mm; too small may damage the fiber, while too large will produce an air gap.
The apex offset deviation of an MPO end face measured by a 3D interferometer is no more than 50 μm; too large an offset pushes up insertion loss and worsens return loss.
The fiber height of an MPO end face measured by a 3D interferometer should remain within ±50 nm to ensure proper physical contact between mating connectors.
