ConceptTobin's Q / Q ratio
Tobin's Q
A financial metric measuring the ratio of a firm's market value to the replacement cost of its assets, proposed by economist James Tobin. A Q value greater than one indicates that the market values the firm above its asset replacement cost. It is widely used in corporate valuation and investment decision research.
