BART
A pre-trained language model introduced by Meta (Facebook AI) in 2019, designed for text denoising and generation tasks. It uses an encoder–decoder architecture in which the encoder applies bidirectional attention to understand input and the decoder generates output autoregressively.
Core Facts
Zero-shot classification relies on the semantic understanding capabilities of pretrained large language models such as NLI variants of BART and RoBERTa.
BERT uses an encoder architecture, the GPT series uses a decoder architecture, and T5 and BART use an encoder-decoder architecture
