Big Pickle
One of the AI models supported by OpenCode, usable for website building and code generation tasks. It is one of the model options that can be connected.
Timeline (last 90 days)
Running `/models` in OpenCode brings up the Select Model list, and in the video demonstration the list contained 9 free models: Big Pickle, Space Bunny, Cat Jam, Longcat 2.5 Preview, Step 5 Preview, Mimo v2.6 Flash, Muse Spark 1.3, and 2 Nvidia Nemotron models.
According to the video, Big Pickle, Mimo, Muse Spark, and the Nemotron series may use users' prompts to improve their models, so passwords, API keys, or confidential client code should not be pasted in.
The first OpenCode panel in a space starts with the free model Big Pickle; a model counts as "usable" only after it completes a real tool call (reading a small file with its own read tool and answering with the random token in the file).
If Big Pickle fails the tool-call acceptance test, the system switches to the latest free model with tool-calling capability.
The tutorial uses the Big Pickle model for a website-building task, and the availability and capability of free models change over time.
