Functional Ultrasound Imaging

Functional ultrasound imaging (fUSI) is an emerging brain imaging technology that uses high frame-rate ultrasound combined with power Doppler principles to track subtle changes in cerebral blood flow, indirectly reflecting neural activity. It offers millimeter spatial resolution and millisecond temporal resolution, is low-cost and portable, and is applicable to animal studies, intraoperative monitoring, and brain-computer interface research.
