Timeline (last 90 days)
Fwrd is a tool that forwards qualifying iPhone text messages to Slack, Discord or Telegram, achieving the forwarding through a Message automation created by the user in Apple Shortcuts.
Fwrd does not build its own SMS relay server; the forwarding action happens locally on the iPhone, and the SMS content is not processed by Fwrd's servers.
Using Fwrd requires no Fwrd account registration.
Fwrd offers a free forwarding quota of 15 times per month, after which payment is required.
Fwrd officially provides an automation configuration guide, at fwrdsms.com/guides/automation.
Fwrd received 84 votes and 4 comments on Product Hunt, ranking 18th.
Fwrd's forwarding chain depends on the iPhone staying online; when the phone is offline or powered off, the automation cannot execute.
Fwrd's SMS filtering logic is "qualifying", so not all text messages will be forwarded; the specific filtering must be configured according to the official guide, and misjudgments may occur.
