GameAgent
An AI game development agent plugin running within the Cocos Creator game engine, capable of automatically reading project files, writing scripts, binding components, and constructing runnable game scenes.
Timeline (last 90 days)
GameAgent and Pink are two AI agents for game development running on Cocos Creator.
In this evaluation, both GameAgent and Pink were connected to the same model, GPT-5.6 Sol, with the reasoning level uniformly set to high.
GameAgent is a plugin running inside Cocos Creator; version 0.3.4 was used in this evaluation.
In the first-round Hello World test, GameAgent also switches the greeting message in addition to incrementing the count after a click, narrowly beating Pink by virtue of the extra interaction detail.
In the second-round Snake test, the basic gameplay of both agents was functional, with the result judged as essentially even; GameAgent had richer visual elements while Pink was more minimal.
In the third round, GameAgent was able to generate platforms, coins, enemies, and a player in the project, with corresponding prefabs appearing in the asset area; the character could move and jump, and the score, coins, and health were displayed at the top, but the task had still not been fully completed by the time recording ended.
The more complex the task (especially those involving scene construction, asset comprehension, and multi-object project management), the more prone game development agents are to stability issues such as request failures and subtask interruptions.
Current game development agents are already capable of handling simple code and small game prototypes, but still require human correction and acceptance in production-level scene organization and complex logic.
