HyperPod Task Governance
A multi-team resource scheduling governance layer for SageMaker HyperPod that adds policy-aware capabilities on top of the native Kubernetes scheduler. It supports configuration of GPU quota limits, priority weights, and preemption rules, enabling dynamic and fine-grained compute scheduling interventions.
Timeline (last 90 days)
HyperPod Task Governance is used to manage compute allocation, ensuring each team receives GPU quotas according to established policies and preventing individual teams from consuming resources without restraint.
Kubernetes-native ResourceQuota and LimitRange can only enforce static resource caps, whereas Task Governance enables more dynamic and fine-grained scheduling intervention.
