Timeline (last 90 days)
The Limitless (formerly Rewind) pendant and the Plaud recording card are products focused on the single scenario of "recording and summarization" and have gained relatively stable user bases.
Rewind AI started out as a "searchable memory" app on macOS, letting users go back to content they had seen by locally recording the screen and audio; it later transformed into Limitless and launched a wearable pendant device.
Rewind (later renamed Limitless) provides continuous screen and audio recording and has long been subject to data security concerns.
Rewind AI (now renamed Limitless) was founded by Dan Siroker in 2022, pioneering the product model of continuous screen recording plus AI retrieval, and received investment from a16z and other venture capital firms
Limitless (formerly Rewind AI) launched a Pendant recording device priced at $99, capable of recording conversations around the clock and organizing and retrieving them via AI.
Rewind 是一款第三方个人 AI 助手，后更名为 Limitless，采用持续截图加 OCR 的方式记录用户活动，并结合会议录音等多模态数据构建个人知识库
