LTX2.5
An open-source video generation model based on the Diffusion Transformer (DiT) architecture. It supports multiple generation modes including text-to-video, image-to-video, and first-and-last-frame-to-video. The model can run locally on hardware with a minimum of 8 GB VRAM.
Timeline (last 90 days)
Vlo has built-in workflows for several mainstream models, including Minimax H3, Qwen2.1, Krea2, and LTX2.5.
Bilibili UP host Lin Meng successfully deployed LTX2.5 on an AMD GPU under Windows 11 using a 7900 XTX (24GB VRAM).
Based on the author's own testing, 6 steps is the optimal balance point between efficiency and quality on the premise of keeping audio and visuals undamaged.
There is a trade-off between generation steps and quality/efficiency: the default 8 steps delivers the most stable quality, while dropping to 4 steps can theoretically cut generation time to around 2 minutes but at the cost of quality.
LTX2.5 officially claims a minimum of 8GB of VRAM is sufficient to run it.
NVIDIA 60-series, 70-series, and 90-series GPUs can theoretically run LTX2.5, while older architectures (such as the 580) cannot.
All data in this article comes from a single UP host's hands-on tests and has not yet been cross-validated by multiple parties; generation time is strongly correlated with GPU model and VRAM size.
The author believes that the official image-to-video workflow that was modified from the original is slow and produces poor results, and that a self-built simplified workflow yields better results.
