macOS Full Disk Access

A fine-grained permission control mechanism introduced in macOS Mojave (10.14) that requires applications to obtain explicit user authorization before accessing sensitive user directories such as Desktop, Documents, and Downloads. The mechanism is designed to prevent malicious software from silently reading local data, and its protection scope is limited to the local file system.
