ConceptMulti-model Routing
Multi-model Routing
An AI system architecture pattern in which the system receives a user request, first determines the request type through intent recognition or task classification, and then forwards it to the backend model that performs best on that class of task, thereby compensating for the weaknesses of individual models. The trade-off is that users lose visibility into and control over model selection.
