MUSIQ
A no-reference image quality assessment model proposed by a Google research team. Based on Transformer multi-scale image patch sequence aggregation of global and local information, it outputs a predicted quality score ranging from 0 to 100.
Timeline (last 90 days)
On the average MUSIQ score of nine-frame sampling, the frame-extraction input was higher than the screenshot input on all three models: Kling 4.0 at 62.60 vs 58.92, Wan 3.0 Prime at 67.97 vs 53.70, and Seedance 2.5 at 59.40 vs 46.35.
At all sampled timestamps, the frame-extraction version maintained its lead, rather than this being a chance fluctuation of a single frame.
MUSIQ (Multi-scale Image Quality Transformer) is a no-reference image quality assessment model proposed by a Google research team, which regresses and predicts quality scores by aggregating global and local information through multi-scale image patch sequences and a Transformer.
MUSIQ scores range roughly from 0 to 100, with higher values indicating better predicted image quality; it mainly reflects dimensions such as sharpness, noise and compression artifacts, and does not judge the plausibility of image content or the coherence between consecutive frames.
This experiment generated only once per condition, without multiple sampling to rule out randomness; screenshot cropping led to different framing, effectively changing two variables at once; and MUSIQ only measures predicted image quality, not continuation coherence or detail resolution.
