Recurrent Memory
A state-compression mechanism in HyFlash that maintains a fixed-dimensional hidden state through RNN-style gated updates, progressively compressing historical information into a fixed-size vector so that memory usage is independent of sequence length.
Timeline (last 90 days)
HyFlash adopts a dual-path design: the local attention path is responsible for capturing interactions between recent context and draft positions; the recurrent memory path compresses historical target features into a fixed-size state.
The cost of recurrent memory is limited state capacity, so distant details get diluted, which is why the local attention path is needed to supplement fine-grained information.
