RVC
An open-source voice conversion tool based on retrieval-augmented voice conversion techniques. It is designed to run on consumer-grade hardware and enables accessible voice cloning with a relatively low technical barrier.
Timeline (last 90 days)
The project's technical architecture is divided into three layers: the Agent brain (using DeepSeek), the chat channel (the QQ bridge solution), and voice and avatar packaging (GPT-SoVITS and RVC).
GPT-SoVITS handles generating speech, RVC handles timbre conversion for singing scenarios, and combined with vocal separation tools such as MSST, character cover songs can be completed.
RVC (Retrieval-based Voice Conversion) is strictly speaking voice conversion rather than TTS, used to convert existing speech into the voice timbre of a specified character.
Voice cloning technologies such as Microsoft's VALL-E and open-source projects Bark and RVC can generate highly realistic voice imitations from just a few seconds of voice samples.
