Scheduled Task
A mechanism that automatically triggers an agent to execute pre-written prompts according to preset time rules, such as fixed times or specified intervals, enabling unattended execution of the full task workflow. Common implementations include scheduling based on cron expressions.
Timeline (last 90 days)
Users can set, for knowledge base directories, between which hours of the day and at what interval the Feishu spreadsheet is scanned, and newly detected links enter the analysis pipeline.
Monitoring tasks use a "polling plus diff detection" pattern: check something on a schedule and notify only when it changes.
The creator uses scheduled tasks to invoke the inspection skill at fixed times, achieving unattended operation; and through remote control, logging into the same account on phone and computer lets you view the status, with tasks synchronized across both ends.
The author uses a Claude Cowork scheduled task that runs daily at 17:00, sending only what changed since the last run to the model, so a quiet day produces no model calls at all.
If you said eight o'clock, then 8:40 is a bug; late delivery and missing delivery do roughly the same damage to trust.
If the system stores "8:00" as a UTC timestamp, after a daylight saving time switch the local time corresponding to the same UTC moment shifts by one hour, and users will find the briefing arriving early or late.
For unattended scheduled tasks, the user is not present, so the default behavior must be that duplicate execution is harmless, which usually requires assigning a unique identifier to each logical execution and recording checkpoints.
Writing 'execute every day at 9 a.m.' in a chat does not equal creating a real scheduled task in the system; the two are different things.
OGAD's Scheduled tasks are essentially scripts triggered within the local application process, requiring the computer to be awake, the OGAD application to be running, the model to be available, and account authorization to be valid; if any link breaks, the routine will silently fail or be skipped.
