Two-Phase Immersion
An immersion cooling approach that uses a low-boiling-point fluorinated liquid. The liquid absorbs heat at the server surface and boils into vapor, which is then condensed and returned by a condenser. Cooling efficiency is higher, but sealing and maintenance requirements are stricter.
Timeline (last 90 days)
Immersion cooling is mainly divided into two categories, single-phase immersion and two-phase immersion, classified by whether the coolant is conductive and whether a phase change occurs.
Two-phase coolants are highly volatile, impose higher requirements on tank sealing and leak detection, and are also subject to regulations restricting perfluorinated compounds, making supply chain risk more prominent.
