VGG16
A deep CNN model proposed by the VGG group at Oxford University. It stacks consecutive 3x3 small convolution kernels to a depth of 16 layers, giving a regular structure and strong feature extraction capability, but with a large parameter count and high computational cost.

BrainAid's performance metrics surpass those of standard models such as VGG16, Inception-V3 and ResNet-50.
Standard models such as VGG16, Inception-V3 and ResNet-50 have large parameter counts and high inference costs, and usually require GPU server support.
A study systematically compared the performance of five CNN architectures—AlexNet, Inception, LeNet, VGG16 and MobileNet—in detecting twig blight of the Pequi tree (Caryocar brasiliense).
VGG16 is known for its regular stacking of 3×3 convolutions, reaching a depth of 16 layers, with strong feature extraction capability but high computational cost.
