Git Worktrees
Git Worktrees is a built-in feature of the Git version control system that allows users to check out multiple working directories simultaneously from a single Git repository. Each worktree has its own working area and staging index but shares the same commit history and object storage. Key characteristics include support for parallel work across multiple branches, avoidance of context loss from frequent branch switching, and the ability to conduct isolated development or testing in separate environments.
