Off Grid AI Desktop
A local password management desktop application. It supports generating, saving, and managing passwords locally, and can autofill them through a paired browser extension, without relying on cloud password services at any point.
Timeline (last 90 days)
The officially recommended starting approach is to pick an account whose recovery method has been verified and configure its login in OGAD and save the support (source text incomplete).
Off Grid AI Desktop (OGAD) supports importing login credentials and secure notes from LastPass-format CSV files through a companion browser extension, with the data ultimately stored in the local Pro Vault.
Browser import has a file size limit of about 500 KB.
CSV files exported by other password managers (such as 1Password and Bitwarden), even if also comma-separated, have column names and field meanings that do not match, so renaming a file exported from another tool to .csv will not make its column structure compatible, and a format mismatch will cause the import to fail.
During the import process, keeping the desktop application running and the Vault unlocked is necessary.
KDBX is the encrypted database format used by KeePass-family password vaults, and OGAD's Pro Vault follows this container standard, so it can also be opened in compatible tools.
It is recommended to perform sample verification during migration: include both record types (login items and secure notes), one long note, and one service with multiple accounts.
Before deleting the source data, you should first open several imported entries to check, and confirm that the target end and appropriate backups are in place.
The importer may skip duplicates, rows missing credentials, empty rows, invalid entries, and malformed rows.
OGAD (Off Grid AI Desktop) provides a localized password generation and storage solution: passwords are generated on the user's computer, filled into signup forms via a paired browser extension and stored in a local Vault, without relying on cloud password services throughout.
